Whether you're a candidate for refractive vision correction, which procedure fits your eyes, and why. You leave with a written report of your findings and Dr. Ling's recommendation, so you can review everything at home.

Vision Consultation
Understand your eyes before you decide
The Vision Consultation is a full clinical evaluation with Dr. Ling. By the end of it you will know whether you are a candidate, which procedure fits, and why.

A conversation with your surgeon
Your advanced consultation is with Dr. Ling. He goes through your history, your prescription, and your diagnostic imaging with you, explains what the measurements mean, and talks through the options that fit your eyes and the ones that don't.
Your visit
Before arriving for your advanced vision consultation, you'll fill out forms about your vision history online so we can jump right in when you're here. When you arrive, you'll get a private room for the whole visit, and our team comes to you. We start with the measurements that tell us what's going on with your eyes: corneal thickness and shape, the dimensions of your eye, retinal and optic nerve imaging, and a full refraction. Then Dr. Ling sits down with you, pulls up your results on screen, and walks through what he's seeing, what it means for each procedure, and the trade-offs that apply to your eyes specifically. You go home with a clear understanding of your options and Dr. Ling's recommendation. If you're a candidate and want to move forward, our team walks you through scheduling and the surgical fee.
Vision Consultation FAQs
See what's possible
The goal isn't simply to stop wearing glasses. It's to make vision correction less of a consideration in your everyday life, and give you the freedom to just do want you want to do. The first step is understanding your eyes, your options, and what makes sense for you.
